Missing person search in Essex

On September 18, 2021, at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Essex Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a missing person in the Town of Essex.


Police remain in the area of the Town of Essex and are continuing their search for Clare ROMANICK, 65-years-of-age, from the Town of Essex.


Residents can expect an increased police presence. An OPP Aviation Services helicopter, and the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) are assisting with the search.


ROMANICK is described as the following:


· 6 foot 2 inches tall


· 180 pounds in weight


· black and grey short hair



ROMANICK has not been seen or spoken to since the afternoon on September 18, 2021. He left his residence on foot.


Police are concerned for his well-being.
