OPP investigating a theft of BOBCAT in Lakeshore

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public's assistance in locating a stolen Bobcat excavator from a Lakeshore construction site in August of 2020.


Investigators believe that the stolen Bobcat may have been recently sold to an unknown individual or company. The Bobcat could also have been painted or altered from its original appearance at the time of its theft.


Police ask that anyone aware of someone recently purchasing a piece of equipment as depicted in the attached photo, contact the OPP Essex County Community Street Crime Unit at 519-723-2491 to assist with this investigation.


Anyone with information regarding this or any other incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous online message at www.catchcrooks.com where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
