Lakeshore OPP investigating theft of dogs - One more located, four still missing

submitted to EFP

On July 14, 2021, members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit continue the investigation into the theft of dogs from an address on Lions Club Road in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

The property was broken into sometime during the early morning hours of the 5th of June 2021 and seven beagles were stolen.

On July 13, 2021, a third dog was recovered in the City of Windsor.

Police continue to seek the public's assistance in locating the four remaining beagles as there is still concern for their well-being. Information is that one of the female beagles was pregnant and should have given birth to a litter and there may be beagle puppies that are circulating as well.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous online message at www.catchcrooks.com where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
