The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect and vehicle involved in a recent theft in Essex. On March 31, 2020, between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., surveillance footage captured a suspect removing a trailer from a commercial property in the 300 block of Talbot Street North. The trailer is described as black, 5 feet by 10 feet with a ramp style gate and aftermarket diamond plate installed on the sides. The suspect vehicle appears to be an older model Ford Fusion or similar. Anyone having information regarding this crime is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
