Update - LAKESHORE OPP INVESTIGATING SEXUAL ASSAULT

UPDATE - On September 1, 2022, members of the Lakeshore Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a sexual assault which occurred on Amy Croft Drive in the Municipality of Lakeshore.


At approximately 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, the female victim was jogging when she was confronted by a stranger. The victim was able to quickly run to a place of safety.


The suspect is described as:


· Caucasian male

· Approximately 5'7" in height

· Thin build

· Black sweater and black pants


The Essex County OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information, they are being asked to contact Essex County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. LAKESHORE OPP INVESTIGATING SEXUAL ASSAULT

Lakeshore Detachment Provincial Police (OPP), including members of the Essex County OPP Crime Unit, are currently investigating a sexual assault that took place last night in the Municipality of Lakeshore.


At approximately 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, Lakeshore Detachment OPP responded to the 200 block of Amy Croft Drive to investigate a report of a sexual assault.


The adult victim was jogging when she was confronted by a stranger. The victim was able to quickly run to a place of safety.


The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's, he is approximately 5'7" in height, slim build, wearing a black sweater and black pants. He was last seen running on foot Eastbound on Amy Croft Drive.


The Essex County OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information, they are being asked to contact Essex County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
